Answers to the Most Common Questions

If someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally (or is only gasping), call 911 (or have someone else call) and begin chest compressions immediately.

It is possible, but the risk of injury is minimal compared to the chance of saving a life by providing chest compressions.

While training is recommended to ensure high-quality CPR, you don't need to be certified to begin Hands-Only CPR for an adult victim.
